Edelweiss is a British piano builder, family-owned for three generations.
We warmly invite customers, prospective buyers, pianists, technicians, and brand enthusiasts to visit our workshops and witness our craftsmanship first hand.
Our main workshop in Fulbourn serves as our final assembly facility, where every piano is meticulously sprayed, strung, regulated, fitted with self-play technology, and fully assembled.
Beyond final assembly, we also have dedicated workshops for woodwork, metalwork, and specialist finishes, ensuring every detail of our pianos meets the highest standards.
We’d welcome you to come and visit our Final Assembly workshops – we’d love to show you around.
We have a dedicated wood workshop where case components of an Edelweiss piano are expertly crafted. Here, skilled artisans carefully shape, refine, and prepare each element, ensuring the highest quality and attention to detail before it’s shipped to our Final Assembly Workshop.
The first stage of our Final Assembly process begins in the spray shop, where your piano is expertly finished in your chosen colour or finish.
Our specialist finishes are among our most closely guarded secrets, applied in a separate workshop that remains strictly off-limits to visitors.
The penultimate stage of our Final Assembly process is the Self-Play workshop, where we integrate the self-playing technology into the piano.
At the heart of this system is the solenoid rail, accompanied by a series of precision-engineered components that bring the magic of automated performance to life.
The final stage of our process takes place in our Assembly Workshop.
Here, your piano is meticulously assembled one last time, undergoing a final round of regulating and voicing.
It then undergoes our rigorous quality checks to ensure every detail meets our exacting standards before being carefully prepared for delivery.
