We understand that up to 50% of our customers investing in an Edelweiss piano are in the process of building, about to build, or planning a new home in the near future.
With this in mind, we offer a wealth of resources and expert advice to help you plan ahead, ensuring your piano is perfectly integrated and properly cared for in your new space.
You will need to plan in a plug socket near or under where the piano will be in your home to save having to run an extension lead of the power chord trailing across the floor.
The majority of a piano is made of wood which is a natural product and is affected by changes in humidity and temperature.
As a result, we recommend if you are doing underfloor heating ensure there is a zone under the piano that can be turned off if required.
If you are using radiators try and plan so there is no radiators directly next to the piano.
The finish of your piano will most likely be one that will get damaged by direct sunlight.
As a result, if you are looking at putting your piano next to a window we’d recommend adding a UV reducing window film or tint on the window to reduce the potential damage the sun will cause to the piano finish.
We take pride in being experts in pianos designed specifically for the home environment.
An Edelweiss piano is crafted to seamlessly complement its surroundings—not just in aesthetics, but also in sound.
A poorly sized piano can easily overpower a space or underwhelm it – diminishing the experience for both you and your guests. That’s why choosing the right size is essential, with several key factors to consider to ensure perfect harmony between your piano and your home.
An obvious one but also one that is easy to get wrong is the size of the room.
The size of the room is the most important factor to consider when choosing your piano.
The height of the ceiling directly impacts how your piano will sound and how much volume you need your piano to produce taking account of the ceiling height and if we need to consider any echos and “natural” reverb produced from a increased ceiling height.
This is a very important factor and can have a big impact on how your piano will sound in your home.
For example, if the room has a tiled floor, little soft furnishings and lots of windows compared to a room with a carpet, lots of soft furnishings or a rug – the sound experience in both environments will be very different.
The level of customization is entirely up to you—we can work closely with you or your interior designer to create a piano that seamlessly aligns with your vision. Whether you desire a bold, eye-catching statement piece or a subtle, elegant musical accent that blends effortlessly into your space, we ensure your piano is perfectly in sync with your interior design.
